Goodreads SummaryIn the Mediterranean at end of the 17th century, former songstress Armeria disguises herself as a boy and boards the ship of the pirate Skulls the man who kidnapped Luce, her first love Captain Skulls is arrogant, violent, and a skirt chaser And unfortunately for Armeria, he discovers she s a woman My Thoughts The ending of this was far too abrupt Kind of like that previous sentence, but let s cut to the chase I enjoyed everything about this manga and I think the only thing I found real trouble with was the ending IT WAS AWFUL I read pages and pages of beautiful artwork and well written story only to get to THAT The ending needs a re boot like that Spider Man movie coming out and ASAP Pretty please, at least give us a spin off Sigh This is why I cannot in good faith rate this a full 5 5, but the cliffy of an ending aside, there is a lot going for this manga I would read it any day and I recommend everyone to give it a try.4 5 stars

Matsuri Hino s artwork feeds my need for gorgeous mush better than anything else Wanted is gorgeous mush on the theme of pirates, which means she has channeled directly into my fantasies. That being said, the mush was not on the same level I have come to expect and left me a little disappointed Unfortunately, she was working on this at the same time as MeruPuri, which was much popular then she started Vampire Knight, which is a smash hit, and the poor little pirate story got pushed in the background It also was a casualty of the pirate boom she was writing this before Pirates of the Caribbean made everyone write pirate stuff, and then suddenly her work wasn t very unique any She mentions in an afterword that she would like to do a sequel, and has plenty of ideas, so maybe once Vampire Knight wraps up now that everyone has moved from pirates to ninjas , we can get some BEAUTIFUL PIRATE GOODNESS.

I really loved this book, I ve always wanted to read I fantasy ish manga, not the ones for boys with all the gory details, but a love story, with action And thanks to Matsuri Hino I got what I wanted My favorite parts were when Ameria Arto gets put in jail and then she escapes because the guard thinks she fainted so naive and also when Capitain Skulls and Ameria are in the cave searching for The Devil s Musical Score Ahhh so romantic Why does the general dude have to be there Ugh The one ting I didn t like was that it was soooo obvious that Capitain Skulls and Luce were the same people Also, even though everyone knows that Ameria is a girl she still wears boy clothes, what s with that I didn t know it was by the creator of VampireKnight intill after I d read it, not that that would have been a selling point for me anyway Hope there ll be another one

I don t think I ve ever read anything so blatantly sexist The main character is repeatedly called and treated as property, and she s okay with that She has to be rescued at least five times, and this is only a single volume long Even if you put aside the sexism the manga still has nothing going for it The plot twists are predictable and incredibly over used, the characters aren t interesting in the slightest, and there s not a single original idea in the entire thing Avoid Wanted at all cost.

I believe the best word that can describe this manga is cute It was a cute story about a young girl chasing after a boy she loved who was taken by the pirates a long time ago Where is the cute part Well, as you turn the pages you realize that the kind young boy has turned into a fun loving Pirate, who actually knows who exactly she is and does everything in his power to protect her Now tell me that ain t cute D

Now don t get me wrong it s a great story and an enjoyable read, but its so short that I felt like I never really got invested in the characters If I m going to give a book 4 or 5 stars, it has to be one that really hits me and makes me want to read it again and again. As for this one, its a very nice, enjoyable story to kill a few hours with.

I was surprised by how much I liked this I guess I was left with little choice, I mean, the subject is pirates How can I not love romantized versions of pirates It felt surprisingly short, which is odd since it s very apparent from the very beginning that it was going to be short I can t wait to read it again
